Apprentice Training

To help meet the needs of a diverse membership, the MREA offers two apprentice training programs, as well as a MREA Journey Line worker Certification Exam.

• Both of our apprentice training programs, Career Development for Lineworkers and Merchant Job Training and Safety are designed to meet the Federal and State Department of Labor requirements for apprentice training.
• Both programs are similar in design and application but take two very different approaches to presenting instructional material.
• Career Development for Lineworkers is now available in an easy to use online format.
• No matter which program you choose, Career Development for Lineworkers or Merchant Job Training & Safety, apprentices are sure to get a comprehensive training experience.
