Rural Electric Safety Accreditation Program (RESAP)

The Rural Electric Safety Accreditation Program, is a service of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and strives to promote the highest standards of safety among electric cooperatives.  MREA fully supports the RESAP program and works to help electric cooperative members achieve accreditation.  MREA is charged with administering the program in Minnesota.  We help our members by supporting them through every element of the observation and application process.
  • The RESAP Vision
Zero injury.  Zero accidents.  Nothing less.

  • The RESAP Mission
RESAP dedicates itself to promoting safety and loss control as a high-priority goal for electric utility management.  The RESAP program encourages management to set their sights on "zero injuries, zero losses.”
